Actually you said "Nothing is perfect or free".
But that is not the point.
The point is that your claim the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program is
cheaper than for profit systems, and just as good - is a total lie.
The FEHBP is a for profit system - the companies which provide the services
do so for profit.
It is no costlier or cheaper than any other system - in fact it is more
expensive, the reason being that the federal employee only pays 28 percent
of it's cost. The other 72 percent is paid for by the taxpayer (you).
FEHPB Plan - Blue Cross Blue Shield - Family Plan
Annual Cost - $11,860.92
Annual Employee contribution - $3, 491.76
Annual US Taxpayer contribution - $8,369.16
To sum up - the benefit plan requires an infusion of over $8 thousand
dollars per year from the US Taxpayer.
