Subject: Airline SNAFU gowes back to Republican policies in the FAA!

Could it be that the entire airline SNAFU this week is some sort of revenge
inflicted on the publis by the Republican jr administration??

1. FAA "privatizes" its inspections...trusting airlines to do it right
2. Two guys blow the whistle and say the job is not being done properly
3. jr's Republican run FAA cracks down unnecessarily severely on the
airlines thus effectively punishing the American public
4. The FAA says it acted in an appropriate manner
5. The airlines have no defense, they acted improperly.
6. None of this would have happened if the FAA did its job of inspecting.
Instead they pushed off a government activity on private enterprises who
value the dollar more that they do public safety.

Its called privatization and the Republicans love it

Marion Clifton Blakey was sworn in September 13, 2002 as the 15th
Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. As Administrator,
Blakey is responsible for regulating and advancing the safety of the
nation's airways as well as operating the world's largest air traffic
control system. Prior to being named FAA Administrator, Blakey served as
Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board.

According to Bobby Boutris and Douglas Peters, the issues with Southwest
Airlines not complying with FAA safety inspections is an old problem that
the FAA has known about, but has ignored. Boutris and Peters, uncomfortable
with the FAA protocol not being followed, decided to spill because they feel
they owe taxpayers a job well done.

America...the laughing stock of the world...an administration that can't
shoot straight
