The J/Psi peak is not so surprising if you consider the scaling with
mass^3 of the non-strong decay width of neutral particles. Thus Gamma/
M^3 is the same for the pi0 than for the J/Psi and other particles.
(why it is so, that is another mistery, unexplained. But it happens).
