Well, he got this one right. The majority opinion, which likens
indefinite detention to the removal of Social Security benefits, is a
shameful blot on the history of Anglo-American jurisprudence.

I know, I know. The very ideas of war, treason, the risk of error
leading to injustice, abuse of power, indefinite detentions for
reasons of state, etc. etc., these are all new-fangled, daunting
problems that the Founders never contemplated before! Why didn't they
realize that all you have to do is PUNISH GUILTY PEOPLE????? [slaps
forehead in amazement] This way, the innocent can be free. You'll know
who they are. They're the ones we're not punishing. See Job for
details.
I've experienced a religious conversion. I want to make Charles Bell
*King* *of* America*. He will PUNISH GUILTY PEOPLE. None of that
indefensible hesitancy that reveals secret sympathy with the criminal
and hatred of victim, manifested by charges, trials, evidence,
conviction and sentencing. WE MUST JUST PUNISH THE GUILTY PEOPLE! DO
IT NOW!
