Again, no connection was made by Bush between 9/11 and Husein's Iraq.
Statement (2) was for the purpose to fight al-Qaeda and ANY OTHER LIKE
organizations (whether or not they had any connection to 9/11) inside
Iraq or elsewhere.

Again, the head of al-Qaeda in Iraq (though it was not so named until
2004), al-Zarqawi was in Iraq prior to the invasion.
Again, Bush never claimed there was an operational link beween OBL in
Afghanistan and Hussein, though there was some evidence to suggest the
possibility -- like al-Zarqawi in Iraq and Mohamed Atta in Prague
meeting with an Iraqi diplomat. The fact of the matter even OBL denied
responsiblity (until 2004) and there has not been an indictment
against him.
