One last time: you asked a question: what caused 9/11. You did not
ask, what caused every thought that every Arab, Persian or Muslim has
ever had about the US since the dawn of time. You asked one question:
what caused 9/11. Not what caused some other thing. I said, and I'm
going to repeat this for the last time in the hopes that you are
capable of actually hearing *what* I say, as a preliminary to
assessing it, actually *hearing* it. I said: there are many
contributing factors to 9/11. You have mentioned many of them. I would
also add: the physical properties of airplane fuel, the positions of
the continents, the law of gravity, what piece of land the colonists
bought from the Indians, and ever so much more. But if all of that,
minus the Gulf War, was *sufficient* to trigger 9/11, then we have
been under continuous terrorist attack for the past fifty years.

But. We. Haven't.

Therefore, something *additional* was needed to serve as the match to
the powderkeg (that a sufficiently exciting, incendiary metaphor for
you?). That match was the Gulf War. If the Gulf War hadn't happened,
9/11 wouldn't have happened. Before the Gulf War happened, for fifty
years, nothing like 9/11 happened.
