But you are the one who wrote "the meaning of
short-term changes in the actual climate"

I read this as "meaning" to humans as should have been
quite clear when I mentioned storm damage.

If as is becoming clear you meant "meaning" of
"short term changes in the [observed] climate" for
global warming, then you should have said so istead
of attacking with "... there's no hope".

But as written your statement is rather
redundant or tautological as you are talking
about what climate change means for climate change.
