Actually I just noticed the chart has an arrow indicating the
present day CO2 value.

It looks to me like the present day arrow is as far above the
highest value in the past 650K years (excludiing today)
as that high value is above the lowest value of the
last 650K years.

I think the word anomalous applies if not grossly
anomalous.
