Indeed it was. But the "anthropogenic activities" which you claim are
"pushing" global temperatures were presumably even greater from
1940-1975 and yet temps. declined. Since at best the AGW hoax plays
the correlations for all they are worth (which is the best they can do
since they have yet to establish causality), then the dis-correlations
also have to be explained. N'est pas?
That's why the focus on 1940-1975.
