Subject: pneumatic rotating motor efficiency ?

Hi,

If a 'dual-stepping' foot-pump was used to collect the energy from a
human to drive an electric generator, what would the problems be ?

What are:
1. power loss compared to a geared mechanical version ?
2. price of suitable pneumatic rotating motor ?
3. is the pneumatic rotating motor's efficiency very speed dependant ?

Thanks for any feedback, or pointers to URLs,
