Same reason diesel is more expensive in the US.....NIMBY has eliminated
refinery capacity
to the point of wondering if it can be fixed.
Probably will be so as long as it is fashionable for a person to expect fuel
and ban any fuel production
that they can.It feels good, so you don't think about conflict of interest
by your actions.
