That is no longer the case. Corn is becoming short and the price is
rising because of ethanol. So converting to a better crop would make
more sense now to get a higher yield per acre. Corn is poor for fuel.
Sunflowers are best for biodiesel because you get lots of sunflower oil
from their seeds. Used cooking grease is getting short also and mostly
corn oil. Our legislators should pull the corn cobs out of their asses
and start waking up. We are blocking the importation of sugar cane and
have a high tariff on ethanol from Brazil.
