Is there more than one version of Old Testament Law?
>Islam needs to go through a reformation and join the 21st Century.
What makes you think that it hasn't. Just as there are fundie
Christians that resent any sort of reformations (I point you to the 30
years War just after the Protestant Reformation as an example, but the
abortion clinic bombers of today are no better, just smaller in number
and not in power.), there are Moslems who resent reformations. Then
there are large numbers who are more or less like the Orthodox Jews,
who follow their own laws but not generally when they conflict with
the laws of the land. And then there are Moslems who like
Conservative Jews follow most of the laws that don't conflict, but
have modernized. There are as of yet not that many Moslems that are
"Liberals", but there are some of those too.

Nor to "orthodox" Moslems who merely want to follow Sharia law when it
doesn't conflict with the law of the land, and who do not wish to
assimilate more than the Orthodox Jews are obliged to.
>and blow innocent people up.
I refuse to judge Moslems by nutcases, any more than I judge
Christians on the basis of abortion clinic bombers/
>Do you know of another religion like Islam that teaches
>their children that Christians and Jews are apes and
>swine and should be killed?
I don't agree that Islam teaches that. (But to answer your question,
there are Nazis who post statements about the Talmud and Jews that are
equally inflammatory and equally incorrect. And perhaps you will
recall the 20th century expression "kill a Commie for Christ". And
then there is Pat Robertson, who argues similar things in the 21st
century http://www.corneroak.com/leaves/le082405.html)
During the Middle Ages, it was the Islamic countries that were home to
the intellectual leaders of Judaism. Obviously Islam did not teach
that they were to be killed, or they would have been.
