There's also "he who pays the piper calls the tune". Those Muslim
students at Harvard are probably paying a lot of pipers. And our
trade balance with the oil-producing countries is donating great
leverage to them and those of their culture. If they decide that the
price of their oil is that we educate their kids in a way compatible
with their culture, then no doubt we will end up doing so, because we
need their oil more than we need any particular cultural bugaboo.
