Trying to make a prediction about technology decades from now is
doomed to failure. Just look at predictions about technology that
were made in the 1950's, or even 1980's. Did things turn out like
they were predicted? Do we have flying cars?

I doubt hydrogen cells will ever be used much. Batteries are much
lighter, cheaper and more efficient and now they have versions that
don't explode.
