44 mpg in the US

Until someone can exlpain how FORD and GM/Opel/Vauxhall ARE BEATING
even the best ASIAN FUEL ECONOMY AVAILABLE IN THE US and MANY of the
Asian offerings in EUROPE ... with THEIR (FORD and GM/Opel/Vauxhall)
European OFFERINGS ... I can not accept your premise that "liberals",
"environmentalists", Democrats, Republicans, or ANYONE ELSE is DOING
IT TO the "domestic" Det3!

Specifically, Ford/GM/Vauxhall together have 27 vehicles rated between
60 and 70 mpg(Imperial) [50 to about 59 mpg(US)] combined cycle.
Meanwhile Toyota has 5, Hyundai and Suzuki each have 3, with Honda,
Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Nissan each having 1 ... for a total of
16!

I think this adequately demonstrates what I am trying to say!

Sorry about the lack of Det3 management maturity, wisdom, ingenuity,
and judgement.
