While we recognize that the term "Democracy" is very loosely used today, and
frequently confused with the American system; correctly employed, as by
Madison is Federalist Paper #10--in which he explains how protecting us from
Democracy was one of the motivations for our Federal Constitution--it is the
political expression of the same egalitarian compulsion for uniformity as
Communism is its economic expression. Neither can ever be consistent with
the liberty of the individual, which coupled with a dependence upon
individual responsibility, is the essence of the American system.

Almost all of our troubles, today, flow from the folly generated by the
egalitarian compulsion for uniformity.

There is, of course, no more morality in counting noses to determine social
values, than there is in confiscating the fruits of men's labors, to
determine the material status of anyone.

Just because *you* can not understand my post doesn't make *me*
confused.

If you don't know enough to get out of the rain, you're the one that's
stupid.
