It dose not make much sense to convert to LPG, LNG or CNG any more.
However, here is something interesting. If you have cheap natural gas
available to you(like unused gas from a land fill, sewage plant, or
made at home in a methane digester, or tapping a capped off oil well)
can now build a simple reactor like the one to make methanol for your
flex fuel car or truck;

While I am sure you'd be sued if you tried to commercialize it in any
way, this looks like its simple enough be adapted, built and operated
