Also, is it a single stage engine or multiple expansion? Multiple expansion
with interstage heat exchangers would be the more efficient design, but multiple
stages would quickly increase the size, complexity & cost.

Last I knew, MD was not answering any questions about the design of their
engines. Probably because that would be the safest way to avoid embarrassing
questions.
