The _only_ thing that gay people have a right to is to not be abused because
they are gay. They are open to abuse for being an idiot, just like anybody
else but they should not be abused because they are gay. They have no right
to have their lifestyle immortalized by the government.

When government teaches my kids that their religion is wrong because it
teaches that homosexuality is right, then the freedom of religion and the
free expression thereof are compromised. Religious zealots can't go around
beating up homosexuals, and government ought not be in the business of
promoting homosexuality. Gee, government should keep its mouth shut.
Wouldn't _that_ be nice for a change?

It ain't gonna happen though.
