Oh Poo. People buy commodities on price. In Oregon and Washington the
biodiesel is less than petro diesel and they sell as much as they can
make. If you drove an 18 wheeler and had to buy 200 gal to get home,
and you had your choice of diesel at $3.60 and B100 biodiesel at
$3.59,
which would you pump?

That's really the important point. Fact is petroleum diesel, gasoline,
propane, etc. are getting more and more expensive with no end it sight.
Furthermore, the US is sending a BILLION DOLLARS per DAY to the middle east
to purchase their oil with the prices constantly rising.

Regardless of the energy content, biofuels offer a relatively stable very
compentative alternative to petoleum based fuels. As long as these fuels
have reasonable performance at a better price, they will be preferable.
Furthermore they circulate dollars in the American economy.

Diesel is now over $4.00 per gal and goes up hourly. If you can buy a
competative fuel at $3.59 and the price is more or less stable, there is no
contest. Furthermore as biofuels are developed and the indiustry matures
with more and more competition and larger volumes, expect prices to go down
over time.
